Approach
Our mission is to provide a safe space for children, teens, families, and individuals to explore, ask questions, heal and ultimately grow to a place where they are able to effectively communicate and express their true and authentic selves in a mutually healthy and respectful fashion...a place for people to reach their fullest personal potential and build bridges with those they love.

Utilizing a strength-based approach and working collaboratively with families and significant others to identify both struggles and strengths, we help ensure successful achievement of personal (and family) goals. We treat each client’s unique struggles in a manner that is tailored to that particular client’s needs.

Our offices and services are intended to foster a safe environment that promotes inner healing and growth through play, laughter (albeit many times only after working through tears) and effective communication.

PLAY:
You will find our number one goal is to establish a safe space for our clients and their families. It is in this space that the greatest change can occur. Creating this safe space often involves a certain amount of PLAY- sometimes art, sometimes music, and sometimes MAGIC! Whatever works best for each individual client and family!

HEAL:
We combine various aspects of the tried and true evidence-based techniques (EMDR, CPP, CBT, BSFT)* with more innovative therapeutic practices to fit the unique needs of each child and family.
After identifying the individual needs of each client and family, we provide you with support, tools, psycho-education, and therapeutic guidance toward healing.
This process can be difficult at times and often involves tears, AND typically the more tears shed -> the more laughter, healing, and growth follows.

GROW:
The growth comes naturally as the skills learned within the therapeutic environment are transferred into the home, academic, and community environments. Children and families optimally “graduate” with a newfound sense of control and mastery, mutual love and understanding, and peace…peace of mind.

We also believe that not every therapist is the right match for every child or family. We feel it’s important for people to “try on” a therapist. See if it’s a good fit, and after a few sessions make your decision. Our advice is to refrain from buying a new car without a test drive first.

We welcome you to come give us a test drive.
